Project 52 - Week 10. White Tuna Sandwiches.
AKA It's not /all/ baking. These sandwiches are kind of a funny recipe for me. I really don't eat tuna fish and I'm allergic to tomatoes. Cristina isn't a fan of celery. So I decided to make these for our bible study group as snacks. It's a good way to make a recipe I wouldn't have enjoyed to its fullest and I like sharing food!
I made these up, tasted them, and actually enjoyed them. A really small dice on the onion and celery, a special way of mixing the tuna, and a dash of lemon juice and white pepper make for a tasty little sandwich. Even so, that's a lot of tuna fish. So when our group was cancelled for the evening, I scrambled to find something to do with 14 sandwiches.
My brother didn't want them, my parents didn't want them, my closest friend is pregnant and can't eat tuna. Thankfully we found a solution, we gave half of them to the ravenous horde (C's siblings) and we met Joel, Jennifer and Freddie at Pinkberry and shared the other half (along with some of the muffins). They got some (hopefully) yummy sandwiches and we got Pinkberry and some time spent with friends. All is right with the world.
Also, there was sword involved with the Pinkberry trip, but that's a whole nother story.
