Dream Fragments

Ahhh, finally finished! I have been working on this for a few months on and off, waiting for felt from the US to back and frame it.

Each paisley was individually beaded/sequined and then stitched to the blue backing. The blue was then quilted to the cream (bit hard to see in these photos, but the quilting makes each of the paisleys pop up from the background). The circles around the outside were then stitched directly onto the background and then beaded. The entire piece is backed with felt and 'signed' in stitching on the back.

This piece has been wonderful therapy for me. Working on each paisley gave me a chance to play with different colour ways and beading designs. So much fun and so calming all at the same time.

Finished piece measures 51cm square from border to border.
