Building U.S.-Chinese Relations, by Banjo

Abigail Washburn is a remarkable talent. And to think she could have been a lawyer.

I liked the way this one turned out (click photo to enlarge). The purple is from the spotlight.

Her short TED talk is uplifting (and for those who were at TED, this the earlier performance she did as TED Fellow, so you may have missed a gem).

“I see the power of music to connect cultures. I see it when I stand on a stage at a bluegrass festival … and I bust out into a song in Chinese, and everybody's eyes just pop wide open.”

The photo above is from the main stage. Here are my shots from the TED Fellows program:

She seemed a bit more relaxed among the Fellows.

"Outside your door the world is waiting. Inside your heart a voice is calling. The four corners of the world are watching, so travel daughter, travel. Go get it, girl."
