Navy Lubber at sunset is showing off his bright red mouthparts and golden highlights

Until recently I always took pictures of my Lubber friends in the early morning. But lately I am enjoying the rich, deep colors they have at sunset.

 

What magnificent creatures they are! And what destructive ones too. Look at the gnawed-away edges of this very large Crinum Lily! The whole patch looks like this.
