Lubber on the move... his beautiful backside colors and patterns

Looking down into the shadowy world of a Lubber inside a long leafy Crinum Lily! I usually shoot Lubbers from the front and side but the details from above were so attractive that I had to share them with you.

 

The carapace or shield-like thorax. The subtle pebbly texture. The amazing black pattern along the center, the lines that project out to the sides. The black pattern on the wings at the bottom. All punctuated by black lustrous eyes. What a beauty this creature is!
