Stamen of a wet Brilliant Red Hibiscus is loaded with pale yellow pollen

Look at the delicate purple and red filaments that hold pale gold pollen bundles at their ends. Amazing detail, Mother Nature!

And how do you get reds to be so red? And flowers to swirl? And petals to look like river beds seen from a plane at 30,000 feet?

Questions like these keep me setting out with my camera each morning at sun up. And day by day, I get closer... and closer... to knowing.
