Warp speed Scotty!

    Newer Older

I couldn't shoot this normally from above, since there was a lid on top of the central shaft. Hence, I had to manoeuvre the camera between those rods to the other side and to hold it steady as close to the center as possible (trying not to drop it), pointing it straight down, while keeping my own feet out of the frame (as I used the wide-angle lens).

That is, I stood there, leaning forward at a 45° angle - feet as far back as I could manage, forehead propped against the bars, arms extended straight ahead through the bars, both hands clutching the camera, trying not to shake it between the HDR exposures - as I struggled to peek at its display to compose the photo...

Fortunately no one was there to see me in that pose.

    The genuine Money Shot:

    Admission: €6
    Wide angle lens: €500
    Embarrassment of it all: Priceless!

You tell me if it was worth it... :-)
    ___
HDR, three exposures [ISO 140, 280, 800], otherwise SOOC
Should be viewed large on black

This one was worth everything you put into it. It draws you down into it like a syphon and that red is delicious.
