Blue Hour at Barnegat Bay

I took my daughter Jordan and her friend Taylor to Seaside Heights, NJ for one night. Day one was beautiful, and as much as I wanted to make use of my new ND filter, I couldn't get the girls out of the surf long enough to find a more private beach view. I had driven on Thomas A. Mathis Bridge over a beautiful area of Barnegat Bay where there were lots of boats, so I planned on getting some sunset shots there after dinner. Well, by the time we were done with showers and dinner, there wasn't enough time to get to that area by sunset, so I had to be content with this Seabreeze Boats place on the Bayside that was close by. You see I didn't even get there before sunset. I believe that is Thomas A. Mathis Bridge in the background. My plans of getting stunning shots of the sunrise on the beach were ruined when I barely got us up in time for our 10:00 checkout. The rest of my beautiful beach photo plans were ruined by torrential rain that started just minutes after I paid $12.00 to park my car in a lot for 6 hours. It didn't look like the rain would stop until late afternoon, so we headed home early. At least my legs are tan for the first time this year! LOL!
