Day 214 +186/366 AND Day 2040: Happy Birthday, America

Jim had today off from the university. We enjoyed a delicious lunch at the Valdosta Country Club. We had the typical foods for a July 4th Picnic. See the photos here: www.flickr.com/photos/judybaxter/sets/72157630422065946/ After a brief rest, I went back to the VCC and worked out with my trainer.

I've watched some of the history of the United States re-enacted on TV today. My recent trip to Boston is still fresh in my mind. I saw the U.S.S. Constitution, Old North Bridge (scene of first shot of the American Revolution), Old North Church (Paul Revere's lanterns in the steeple--One if by land and Two if by sea), Faneuil Hall (location where many patriots met in Boston and discussed plans), Lexinton/Concord (site of first battle between Minute Men and British soldiers), and Buckman's Tavern in Lexington (where Minute Men met and discussed plans).
