Saint-Malo has lived with the sea and maximised on all the benefits to be drawn from it.
True to its maritime roots, Saint-Malo remains the first commercial port on the north coast of Brittany and has become the leader in transport to England, Ireland and the Channel Islands.
Each year the port, with its terminal capable of docking third-generation ferries,
sees over a million tourists through its gates.
