top of the spear
This is up at Black lake. You can see to top portion of the rock formation "Spear Head" sticking above the next ridge.
While it was relatively calm where I was sitting for some lunch, I was in a semi-protected area from the winds. Wind gusts of 45 - 50 mph came in waves off of the upper ridge, sounding much like jet engine blasts. Wind swept snow from the upper peaks often obscured the visibility of the upper rock formations and would then come racing around the bowl containing Black Lake. Exciting!!!
