Every Chikara wrestler works hard, but the Ref has an especially challenging job, as he is out there all night. His is an act of stamina. Being close to the ring gives one an idea of how big these men are, and this Ref stands among them, in a situation where a flung elbow could easily give someone a black eye, and a misplaced kick could break a rib.
Standing far away, or watching from television does not really let you know the movement and meat and weight of the wrestlers. It's standing close that you get the idea of how big, heavy and with what momentum these men and women move.
