Last Quarter panorama

Another attempt at a daytime moon panorama. 10 frames stitched with Autostitch. Comparing to yesterday's single frame, you can see I can get a lot more detail this way (especially near the edges).


Sky blended in The GIMP--so it's not quite so blotchy as last time I did this. Even so, I should have locked my camera's exposure before taking shots with varying amount of moon in them... the left half of the picture is obviously exposed differently from the right. Next time...

    Amazing..Thanks, jpstanley; I'll try to upload the sun set shots again and will be greately appreciative if post any comment later / whenever..By the way, I'm not a photographer; I'm just interested in photography. And will use the tag sky.

    @fox - I don't think even Hubble can resolve that much detail on the Moon. The Clementine lunar orbiter photographed the Apollo 15 landing site a few years ago, though--see here.
