One of the famous convertible Red Buses in Glacier National Park drives along St. Mary's Lake down the "Going to the Sun" road. Wild Goose island is seen in the distance.

It took three sessions to get this photo. Initially I used f18 thinking there was enough light to freeze the motion of the bus and achieve hyperfocus but when I viewed the image on the computer there was blur. Later I used f9 thinking that would be sufficient. Looked good on the camera but with the buses going about 30 mph along here there was still blur. I convinced my wife to give my one more chance.
The final solution to get wide focal range and high shutter speed was to do a composite image at f4. Before the bus arrived I took one with the focal zone high on the mountains. I then lowered the focal zone to the bus as it went by and composited the two images in PS. I was using a tripod so the images were nearly identical, one with distant focal range and the other with the foreground in focus.
