Blending through a Mask - A Tutorial

This morning image of Cutler Marsh in Cache Valley, Utah is a digital blend of two bracketed shots using an extension of the Photoshop technique termed "Multiply through a Mask." While not appropriate for every image it is another tool that can add to a range of techniques to handle high dynamic range situations, allowing us to capture the full range of tones we naturally conceive when we view a scene in person.
