Fallen Roof Ruin

After our 2.5 mile hike to House on Fire ruin we decided to try to find the Fallen Roof Ruin. We drove about 25 miles to the trailhead and hiked the more difficult trail. The ruin was harder to find and fortunately I had the GPS coordinates which got us there after several detours. I was sweating it a bit because I knew the ruin would need to be in the shade to get a good photo and it took us longer than expected to find the place. Luckily when we arrived at about 12:15 there was still plenty of shade.

This is the straight on view of this Anasazi dwelling. The more typical view of the ruin is from the right side (of which I have many) but it was interesting and beautiful no matter how you looked at it! Like the "House on Fire" ruin the scene was flat being in the shade and no hdr or blending was needed.
