Rush Hour

View of lower Manhattan from the Brooklyn Bridge.

A number of you have asked how I got to this vantage point. Well, I had to jump the fence and balance on the beam ;-) NOT! Actually, around each tower there is an observation platform which extends over the lanes of traffic. Nothing extreme here, just out on the well fenced platform.

Amazing! As much as I like all of your photographs, this one may actually be my favorite. You absolutely nailed this photograph and I do not feel that it could get much better than this. The bridge in the foreground with the golden lighting/color plays a crucial role in this image and you couldn't possibly have captured it at a better angle with the city in the background. Also, I like that although the sky is dark it is not too dark and it looks just like it would with your eyes being adjusted to the dark rather than just pitch black. This photograph is right up there with the best nightscapes that I have ever seen. I do not mean to flatter you, but there isn't much to criticize in this one.
