A Majestic Backdrop

    Newer Older

Another view of the northern most Moulton Barn shot with a longer focal length to bring the mountains closer. This is taken just off Antelope Flats Road near Grand Teton National Park.

There where 4 or 5 of us photographers some distance from the barn obviously taking pictures, tripods and such, when a motorhome drove up and 3 older couples got out and started walking around the barn. They seemed oblivious to the fact that they were getting in the way of other's pictures. After about 10 minutes they walked behind the barn and we took the initiative and all started shooting away hoping they would take their time looking at what ever they were seeing on the back side. ;-)

Ha. Great story. I can just picture it in my mind. Yes, I would have been frustrated too. :) Great shot though. Superb as always, James.

Beautiful clarity and contrasts with this James. I know what it's like when people get in the way; I've often thought a M16 would be a good accessory to have around every now and then

Seen on your photo stream. (?)

i love the feeling of this image.
(my brother lives around the corner, in Lander, so i've been here at least a few times and know this place.)

had to chuckle about your story....no motor homes and brightly clothed tourists pleez!! :o) .....

you got the shot all right! it's a beauty.

I think this is one great photo. So much better than I could do. You have a good eye. I am curious as to why you think that photographers are more entitled to the scene than someone else.
