Elephant Seal Lightning Strike

Despite their behemoth size of over two tons, Northern Elephant Seals are very quick. Here one male ambushed an older male opening those wounds on his neck - and then immediately fleed the area. I like this photo, the motion of the attacker, sand kicked up and the wild-eyed wounded "victim".
