This island is among the farthest of the Bacuit Bay isles from El Nido town proper. It houses a religious shrine and a view deck on a short hill that allows visitors an excellent panoramic view of the nearby islands.
Matinloc is also home to Secret Beach - a shallow lagoon with a white sand beach enclosed by massive karst formations that can only be entered by swimming through a narrow opening. Also located here is Hidden Beach - actually stretches of white sand beach and more karst topography. It is hidden from view by a tall limestone formation; boats cannot enter especially during low tide. We also had to wade and swim to get there. As a result we couldn't bring unprotected DSLRs to take pictures of both places.
