Moraine Park Campground, Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado.
As we headed up yesterday to camp at Rocky Mountain Park, I knew it was going to be an excellent sunset. Unfortunately, we didn't get out at the time I wanted to, and instead of being able to take some great shots of this gorgeous sunset from down in the Moraine Meadows, I was stuck setting up camp.
When I turned around from putting the tent up and saw this sky, I told my wife she'd have to make do without me for a few. I grabbed the camera, walked 20 steps from our campsite, and picked this log for some foreground. It's not great, but it's what I could pull out last second with the light quickly fading and no time to find an ideal composition.
