Senbazuru 千羽鶴

Jorin-ji is a Buddhist temple with a small shrine on the grounds. Jorin-ji was built by Lord Ogasawara in the mid 16th century, but the name was changed to Futei-ji when the Ishikawa took control. The name was changed back when the Ogasawara were reinstated as patrons. Jorin-ji features the oldest wooden gate in Matsumoto, which dates back to the Edo period. The bell tower dates back to 1845.

Simple elegant patterns make for some of the strongest compositions I think.

    Well done.

Thank you :) I like simple things... But sometimes it's easier to mess up with something simple. Haha

    Beautiful traditional 千羽鶴!
I remember that tried to make 千羽鶴 with my class mates for a girl (a class mate's younger sister) who has been in hospital. (and then she left hospital!)

Wonderful :) I received one for Christmas this year--hopefully it works for my family the same way.
