NYU

New York University was founded in 1831 by Thomas Jefferson's treasury secretary, Albert Gallatin. It is located Greenwich Village (although it has other campus locations around Manhattan), and has an enrollment of nearly 51,000 students making it the largest private, non-profit university in the United States. It is also one of the country's premier institutions, producing 31 Nobel Prize winners, 16 Pulitzer Prize recipients, and 19 Academy Award winners. Although their mascot is a bobcat, their logo is a torch (see above) which is symbolic of the Statue of Liberty.
