Mount Fuji & Cable Car
Mount Fuji is Japan's tallest (3776m) and most beloved mountain. It is also an dormant volcano that erupted in 1708, and is predicted to erupt again in the near future. Japan has as much as 11% of the world's volcanic activity, which explains, to some degree, the amount of earthquakes that occur here. In any case, Mount Fuji is a beautiful mountain. I was fortunate enough to see Mount Fuji in 2005, especially at a time when most people reported that they couldn't see it.
