Japanese Lantern Lighting Festival

The pond, just prior to the lantern lighting... You can see the McNeely Conservatory in the background.

A celebration of Obon at Como Park, sister city of Nagasaki. Over 14,000 participated in this year's Japanese Lantern Lighting Festival. Admittedly, it was a cluster, but still a tremendous event and venue. The Ordway Japanese Garden on the grounds is one of the finest in the Midwest, and the setting couldnt be better on a summer evening in Minnesota.

Como Park. St. Paul, Minnesota.
