triggered with the Pocket Wizard Mini TT1. at 1/8000th!!!
saw an ad on a billboard and noticed that the edges of the bottled water werent the usual black edges coming from the dark field/bright field technique of lighting liquids...
that time i pretty much figured out how it was done without photoshop..
it was simply a specular highlight coming from the background... creating a nice smooth gradient on the edges of the bottle... now imagine shooting this twice... one for the edges and one for the highlights (bottle cap, labels... etc), then compositing the final image for a fabulous product/still life shot.
