Golden Gate Panorama (Revised)

If you are a fan of my work, I would really appreciate it if you would "like" my page on facebook at: Josh Sommers Art. Thank you!

This is a rework of a panorama I posted back in January. The original version had some bad noise issues, so I redid the whole thing from scratch taking steps to eliminate noise as much as possible along the way. This version is very similar to the original version aside from the noise and a few other minor details that I corrected. All in preparation for getting this puppy printed.

This shot was taken in early January of this year, following one of the most powerful storm systems to hit the San francisco Bay Area in nearly 20 years. That day the rain mellowed out and even stopped for periods as my father and I made the trip from my hometown of Petaluma down to San Francisco to purchase a new Canon 24-70L lens. After purchasing the lens I wanted to test it out on my way back home. Not knowing the city very well, and after taking the wrong exit and being sent back down 19th avenue into the city, I just went to a place I knew how to get to: this beach. With the new lens on my camera I could only capture short spans of the bridge from this location, so I winged a handheld HDR panorama for this shot, and luckily the shots all lined up perfectly.
