Light Conquers All

This photo was taken in Hell!

Hell is actually a small village in Stjørdal, Norway with a population of 352.

The name Hell stems from the Old Norse word hellir, which means "overhang", "cliff cave". The Norwegian word hell can also mean "luck".

After my recent batch of photos, I thought I best create something a bit less moody and thus was rather generous with the colours in this one! It was a rather windy day which gave the water in the forground a displeasing texture imo, nothing that a quick play in Photoshop couldn't fix though!

For anyone interested, this was taken with the Nikon D90 + kit lens (18-105mm). I used the single RAW file to create a psuedo-HDR with Photomatix Pro and then messed about with filters, curves etc in CS2.
