Downing Park

Newburgh, New York

This park was designed by Frederick Law Olmstead and Calvert Vaux, the same people who designed New York's Central Park, and it is named for Andrew Jackson Downing, the influential Newburgh architect who inspired Olmstead and Vaux. Downing Park was Olmstead and Vaux's last collaboration.
