St. Paul's Chapel

New York, NY

This Episcopal chapel was built in 1766 and is a National Historic Landmark. It was designed by Thomas McBean and is the oldest public building in the entire city. Its survival has been said to be somewhat of a miracle, as it survived both the Revolution and 9/11, where it was in the national spotlight for its major role in assisting victims and rescue workers.
