Macaw Mtn Bird Park & Reserve
Macaw Mountain Bird Park & Nature Reserve was probably my second favorite Copán activity after visiting the ruins.
I hadn't considered returning until needing to also visit the Mayatan Bilingual School just down the road, so hey - why not? A decision I certainly don't regret.
With park staff still cleaning-up after recent floodings, I guess all the guides were occupied and I was allowed to explore by myself - almost 4-hours without feeling rushed, or like I was holding anyone up.
And just like last time, I also did the downhill walk through the countryside all the way back into town, and highly recommend it.
Indulge me here as I went totally "birdie" overboard on the photos; I've actually separated out the macaws into a different set.
