stop and stare

What is this life, if full of care.

We have no time to stand and stare.

No time to stand benearh the boughs

And stare as long as sheep and cows.

No time to see, when woodes we pass,

Where squirrels hide their nuts in grass.

No time to turn at beauty's glance

And watch her feet, how the dance.

No time to wait until her mouth can

Enrich that smile her eyes began.

A poor life this is if, full of care,

We have no time to stand and stare.

from time to time the ealing LIP photography group have a photo challenge/shoot which is always good fun. recently there was a challenge jointly with some other groups from around london to interpret or respond to a poem by producing a panel of three photographs taken in and around trafalgar square.
