Teddy Bear's Reading Group
Ted normally reads modern fiction - this is his first foray into reading a literary biography. He says he is finding it an interesting experience but is confused because he can't understand why someone has written a biography about a 19th century magazine editor. I've told him that George Eliot is one of the greatest novelists this country has ever produced and he is now thinking of reading one of her novels. I suggest that he starts with "Mill on the Floss" rather than going for my personal favourite "Middlemarch"
