The name of the colours are bleikálóttur and móvindóttur. Meaning literally pink with a stribe on its back and peat windy, as in peat bog and wind.

We brought a small bottle of Champagne and sat in the grass with the curious horses all around. Dórótea gave my lunch to the horses who were more appreciative of the butter smeared bread than I ever could. If only I knew the names of the horses on the picture...
