Tenno 1988 - Right Wing Trucks - merged

Japan's Royalist Right wing was, of course, out in force for the Emperor's birthday, and much of the parking for a couple of blocks around the palace was taken up with these trucks. They were not, of course, broadcasting that day -- it would be disrespectful -- but they were certainly going to let their presence be felt.

The black banner at the top of the first truck says "Establish an independent constitution"

The text above the front window and on the side of the truck says "Shield of Japan Association Executive Division (Political association)"

The top banner on the back truck says "Destroy the Japanese Education Union (Nihon Kyoso)"

The big letters on the side say "Odojuku" (Manly Way Sect), and the text on the front bumper (what I can see of it) says "Special Attack Corps"

This is, by the way, a merged version of two separate pictures - one of each truck - produced with Photoshop.
