Clouds
rafartreides2009 gave me this Rolling Challenge:
I had a good look into your stream, saw a lot of portraiture, conceptual images, moody captures, love it !
so, what I like you to do is to shoot something architectural - Chinese, of course - but make it colourful (in opposite of the "three towers"), let me see some powerful "joy the vive" à la Chinoise !
Obviously I cheated - no color. I had a hard time with this one. Architecture photography doesn't come naturally to me. But I think there is some Chinese architecture joie de vivre here - the attempt to meld structures and their surroundings. So thank you to rafartreides2009 and also to Get Pushed. As usual, I didn't take the picture I expected but I was forced to think about this location in a way I wouldn't have.
This is about 5000 feet above the Yangtze river on a peak that comes up out of the clouds. Other than the bw conversion it's not photoshopped; it really looks like this.
