Just after sunset
Countryside Northwest of Calgary, Alberta, Canada
August 2, 2009 • Taken by Moshe
Yesterday evening, Joe and Moshe went out to fill up the gas tank of the van. After a while, they burst into the house. "Hurry, there's a gorgeous sunset outside. Let's go! Let's go!" Said Joe.
I love sunsets... I love the golden hour light the most, as I declared so many times, and every remarkable sunset gets me going. So we hopped in the van and started driving, looking for a place to take some nice sunset photos, with a proper foreground.
The sun was an orange ball, setting down fast. At one point, while still in the city, we saw it just above the horizon... wonderful warm colors. There were few clouds around, and the golden lining was just out of this world.
By the time we got to the countryside and found a higher open space, the sun was mostly covered with clouds, but still, we could see bright orange patches peeping through. We set the cameras and started clicking. This photo was taken after the sun set below the horizon. We still had gorgeously looking skies, and wonderfully warm light.
I know some people think sunsets are the cheesiest subject to shoot. That's fine. Their opinion, and everyone is entitled to have one. For us - we just LOVE them! It was fun just being out there, under this wonderful light *s*. Another gorgeous sunset immortalized!
