The French Alps, panoramic (HDR)
Taken from le Col des Aravis, this panoramic view shows the French Alps as seen from the west. Mont Blanc is prominent on the left side of the frame, and, at 4810 meters, it is the tallest mountain in Europe. This photo was taken at sunset, from a viewing point at about 1550 meters of altitude.
Each of the images that makes up this panorama is an HDR image from three exposures, created in Luminance HDR and Gimp with the help of this tutorial. The images were then stitched in Hugin, which flawlessly rendered the final version. Be sure to take a look at the original full size!
