    Female/Immature Male Purple Finch - My Back Yard, Lewiston, Idaho - October 29th, 2012

      Please let me know if you think this is a Purple Finch or not and if you have any insights as to whether this is a Female or Immature Male? I have 21 photos uploaded so far and will try to link them to this photo.

      I think this is a Purple Finch based on it not having streaks on the undertail coverts, mostly uniform dark brown cheek, and olive/brown tinge to secondaries and rectrices.

      The prominent eyebrow is definitely a sign of a purple finch. Not sure whether it is a female or an immature adult
