The Airfix Meteor: Gloster Meteor Q at Lubeck

Images of RAF Gloster Meteors from my father's (Gerald Trevor Roberts) collection. These were stationed on his airfield just before the end of the war, and are probably here photographed at Lubeck in June 1945.

This is the actual plane that features on the box art of the Airfix kit as shown at the following link: gregers.7.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=11029

This Squadron, No. 616, was the RAF's first jet squadron and were based at some of the airfields in Holland and Germany that Dad was stationed at in early 1945. They ended up at Lubeck, as Dad did and I guess they were photographed about the same time as his other aircraft photos, in June or July 1945. A very high proportion of the images, paintings, etc. on the web are of planes from this squadron about this time.
