With the forecast suggesting conditions would be prime for a sack full of autumnal mists yesterday morning, I managed to book half a day off work and headed up to the Lake District for dawn. Having decided on the Kewsick area before heading out, the forecast proved right and it was then just a case of deciding which of the numerous spots in the area to visit.
I settled on Castlerigg Stone Circle, a 5,000 year old stone circle (in case you hadn't guessed!) on the edge of Keswick; the mists adding to the atmosphere of the place as the day was breaking.
