This Family Glows
I just counted... this was my 20th family shoot this year. Most of which were in the past month or so. I think the biggest challenge is finding new locations. Now they don't ALL need to be new... obviously people hire me because they like the look, and just because I've photographed a location before doesn't mean that THEY have photos from there. Regardless, I love this new spot I found and am glad to have had people like this willing to trek a little in order to get photos like this.
I just booked a 23 person family shoot, luckily it's scheduled for next year. I had no idea how I'd be able to light them all up, but as luck has it, I just bought two Alien Bee strobe lights this weekend. An AB1600 with a giant octabox, and an AB800 with a large octabox. I'm ordering grids for them, and a Vagabond mini to power them out in the field. I already ordered a 22" beauty dish and honeycomb grid for it.
I'm ready for them. Bring it on.
Last wedding of the year this Saturday. It'll be #39 for me. A new record.
