You might as well JUMP!
For unbeknownst reasons, I’ve wanted to get into high school senior photography for a while now. Don’t get me wrong, I love patiently waiting for hours while a newborn calms down just to wrap him in a cute white sack only for him to toot-out nuclear waste onto it. But high school seniors are at the threshold of adulthood, and unlike newborns or groomsmen, they take direction pretty well. Plus they’re spunky and if you gain their trust will do anything, like jumping on the beach at sunset. Now Carina was a very good sport and her mom was laughing as I yelled to her, “come on, be a man and get some air! Gimme some Toyotathon!” It was one of those sunsets that looked totally blah all day and then… all of a sudden… BOOM, amazing color.
No footprints were not removed. I put a note of where she jumped
And a special thanks to Cameron for scouting out the location, parking, etc. We were suppose to shoot at El Matador but it was overrun by people, so just went here and… awesome sauce.
STROBIST - SB-600 fired with Cyber Syncs on a lightstand about 10' to the girl's left. I was almost laying on the sand to get under her like this. Fired on 1/2 power
