Snow in Springtime

Hill walking can be a strange hobby, you can sometimes slog your way up a hill, see nothing but mist and bog, get soaked, blistered feet, crushed toes and many other mild madolies that make normal people wonder just what on earth you're doing it for.

Apart from it's a bit of much needed exercise and at times good fun even in the worst of conditions you sometimes get days like last Saturday that are simply sublime. With springtime in the valleys and winter on the tops who could wish for more? This shot taken near the top of Ruddy Gill with the mighty precipice of Great End dominating the view.
