Hoverfly series + some neat gear

This is a series of single exposures (no focus stacking), all made within a couple of minutes while trying out a nice combination of gear for hand held, high magnification shooting in the field.
The shutterspeed was kept down in order to have the background exposed by natural light. Diffused 270EX flash (2nd curtain sync) mounted on a hydrostatic arm was the main light source for the foreground subject.
These are all uncropped and modestly processed from camera JPEGS.
