Though conditions were not so favorable to shoot Mt. McKinley, they were quite good for Mt. Hunter, the "daughter of Denali" located about 8 miles south of Mt. McKinley/Denali.
The 14,573 foot Mount Hunter is the third highest peak in Denali National Park, 11th highest peak in the United States, and the 25th highest peak in North America. Despite being much lower in elevation than Mount McKinley, Mount Hunter is a more difficult climb, due to its steep faces and corniced ridges.
