Mayzie, underneath the Wall of Photos at Great Grandpa Buz and Great Grandma Mary's house.

This shot wasn't actually planned. Mayzie was half awake/half asleep, so I put her down on the couch to see if she'd let Sheelagh and I eat our breakfast without her. When I put her down and walked over to the bar (where we were eating), I saw the shot and had to take it. (I took it first with my phone, and then went and got the 20D.)

The wall is filled with photos of our family in different stages of life. It's a visual history of my dad's family. Photos of my grandparents and great-grandparents, photos of my dad and his siblings as they grew up, photos of me and my siblings and cousins as we were born and as we've grown, and now the new generation has begun. I do believe I'm going to have to print this out to hang on the wall. =^)

Wish it was framed without the white chair in the bottom left. Incredible shot, though. Reshoot it with a 4x5 and a new crop and I'll probably die happy.

Love this shot! My grandmother has a very similar wall, and I have always wanted to recreate it in my own house. Now I wish I had one like this of my girls in front of the wall!

Very nice shot. It´s very exciting because all the pictures on the wall are actually distracting you from small peace of beauty on the couch.

      I love this!

I used it with a post on my library's website regarding genealogy. Take a look (it publishes on Tuesday 27 July 2010).
