It looks like it's made in the desert but far from it, it's straight from my garden.
Lots of light for a change which "bleached out" the background, my garage wall.
I was looking for a fine balance in my DOF, enough to get the whole bird sharp but not enough to be able to see the details in the wall.
I settled for F8 with all other settings to manual including the white balance (5200K) to try and get the optimum result.
Quit a few pictures could be deleted right away, when he faced the wrong way or moved, or the light did not fall on his face to get the little highlight in his eye, eventually it all worked out and I had the picture I wanted.... happy !!
