Green Heron (Butyroides virescens) in Permanente Creek, adjacent Google bike path. Fairly immature, I think as there is still a lot of streaking. There are a lot of Black-crowned Night-herons in this area too and at a certain moment the immatures can look a little similar.
This one has been there fairly regularly, which is nice to see, as there has been a lot of construction with the bike underpass/overpass right there by Google. You can't get down to the water, but that seems to make the birds more comfortable anyway too.
