New Track in Lancaster

The L&C Railroad is laying a new connection track in Lancaster between their original line (Lancaster District) and the old Southern SB LIne (Kershaw District). This is part of the 8 million dollar grant to rebuild the Kershaw District to accommodate six axle power.

 

I am standing on the northside of the business office on Main Street. The old track crosses the street on the other side of the building. This is looking to the east through a long lens and shows the shop. Obviously when this shot was made, the tracks have not been connected yet.
